Applications are invited for the position of PVP Support Officer within the Protecting Vulnerable People Support Hub based at Middlesbrough Police Headquarters. The PVP Support Hub supports the work of the following units: Child Protection; Domestic Abuse; Sex Offender Management; Vulnerable Adults and Vulnerable, Exploited, Missing and Trafficked.
 

Principal Duties and responsibilities

 

The successful candidate will be required to interrogate Force systems and produce intelligence reports, intelligence overview documents and case histories for a wide range of meetings. Duties will also include processing relevant orders and applications. They will also be required to share relevant information both internally and with external agencies, where appropriate, and in line with information sharing protocols, force policies and guidelines.  Further requirements are for the processing of referrals received within the PVP department, the assessment of information and allocation, if appropriate, to identified persons and/or agencies.

 

The successful candidate will also be required to identify and manage safeguarding issues as well as making appropriate referrals to relevant agencies in line with agreed criteria. They will also be expected to triage incoming information and referrals and to assess and disseminate it according to relevant ownership.
