Salary- £22,221- £26,802
Allowances-152.75 hours weekend working
Location – Middlehaven, Middlesbrough

Applications are invited for the position of Police Staff Investigator within the Prisoner Handling Team based at Middlesbrough Police Station. The successful applicant will be required to support operational police officers through the processing of planned and unplanned prisoners in accordance with PACE.They will be expected to work in custody suites within the Cleveland Police area and conduct ethical investigations into alleged offences.They will be expected to secure all evidence relevant to the investigation inclusive of statements, CCTV etc.  

The successful applicant must have proven investigative and interviewing skills.They must have experience of dealing with complicated cases and high volumes of work, and be able to demonstrate the ability both to work independently and within a team environment.The candidate must also be competent or willing to receive training in CJIT processes and the submission of case files to a high standard.They must be able to finalise cases, if necessary in consultation with CPS and may be required to attend court regarding the investigations they conduct.
