An exciting opportunity has arisen for a CCTV, Audio and Visual Analyst in the Scientific Support Unit. This role involves attending crime and incident scenes to recover CCTV evidence and processing, editing and creating digital evidence. This is a technical role where you will require competency in the use and maintenance of a variety of software packages and hardware, both within the unit and across the force.

Please note this will involve dealing with sensitive, distressing and traumatic media, in cases such as murders, serious assaults and sexual offences.

The Scientific Support Unit at Cleveland Police provides the forensic investigation services to the force. We are a dynamic team of specialists, providing services in Crime Scene Investigation, Forensic Laboratory Examination, Computer Forensics, Forensic Mobile Phone Examination and Digital Media Analysis. We are looking for somebody to join our skilled and dedicated team in the Digital Media Unit.

CCTV has played a significant role in recent major crime investigations and is an integral part of the investigative process. This post requires you to be self-motivated, calm and accurate under pressure. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, an aptitude for problem solving and creative practical skills.
