Salary                     Scale 5/6  (£22,668 - £27,339)

Hours                     Full time – 37 hours per week

Are you a great team player but have the ability to work on your own initiative in a busy performance team?  Do you have a passion for numbers and an enquiring and analytical mind?

If so, we have an exciting opportunity to join us as a Performance Analyst based at our Learning and Development Centre in Grangetown.

The successful candidate will be an integral part of the Performance Team within our Corporate Services Department, assisting in the provision of a performance measurement, reporting and analysis function to the Force. 

You should have a good standard of educational achievement, with strong research and analysis skills and be able to identify emerging performance threats, issues and trends and present this information in an appropriate format.  You must also be able to demonstrate the ability to devise a research proposal, determining the most appropriate methodology, and formulate and test hypothesis.  Experience of working in a performance management, research or statistical environment is essential together with a significant level of skill in the use of Microsoft Office products, data mining tools and other relevant computer based information and analysis systems.
