Salary:              £34,614 - £41,745 (PO4 – 8)

Hours:               Full Time 37 hours per week

The Police and Crime Commissioner for Cleveland and Chief Constable of Cleveland Police seek to appoint an enthusiastic individual who has the ability to think strategically and innovatively in matters relating to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI).

 

This is an exciting but challenging opportunity, where you will play a lead role in the development and delivery of the organisation’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Programme.

Having a strong background in equality the role will use programme management methods to plan and deliver a range of cultural and organisational change initiatives, ensuring appropriate monitoring of progress and outcomes.

 

Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential as the role will be required to engage and facilitate discussion and decision within Cleveland Police and with partners externally. You will be confident and work flexibly in dealing with sensitive issues and challenging environments.

 

Applicants will be educated to degree level or equivalent and have sound knowledge and understanding of current Equality, Diversity and Inclusion practices and strategies. A keen and demonstrable interest in issues affecting people from diverse backgrounds and under-represented groups is essential.
